AWS - TGW (Transit Gateway)

Traditional VPC Peering Problem

VPC Peering ကိုပဲ အသုံးပြုထားတဲ့ architecture တွေဟာ VPC များလာလေလေ mesh connections များလာပြီး network design ရှုပ်ထွေးလာတတ်ပါတယ်။

အကြောင်းရင်းကတေ့ VPC Peering မှာ transitive routing မရတာကြောင့် VPC တစ်ခုချင်းစီကို ချိတ်တဲ့အခါ VPC 5 ခုရှိရင် peering links 10 အထိ သုံးပေးရပါတယ်။

Transit Gateway Solution

ဒီလိုမျိုး complexity ကို AWS ရဲ့ Transit Gateway သုံးပီး အလွယ်တကူ ချိတ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။ (ဥပမာ All VPCs → One TGW → Everything Connects) ။ TGW သုံးခြင်းရဲ့ အားသာချက်က architecture simplification ပါ။

TGW က VPCs တွေသာမက On-premises networks, Direct Connect, VPN, SD-WAN appliances တွေကိုပါ central hubအဖြစ် ချိတ်ဆက်ပေးနိုင်တဲ့ AWS ရဲ့ managed service ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

TGW က central hub အဖြစ်သုံးပြီး သူနဲ့ attached လုပ်မဲ့ VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, TGW Peering တွေဟာ spoke အဖြစ် ချိတ်ဆက်လိုက်ပါတယ်။ ပြီးတော့ TGW က ပဲ traffic flow , routing decisions ကိုအကုန် manage လုပ်ပေးပါတယ်။

Network security လည်း တစ်နေရာတည်းက control လုပ်နိုင်ပြီး multiple TGW route tables နဲ့ environment segmentation, policy enforcement တွေလိုအပေးအပျက်တွေကို clean design နဲ့ setup လုပ်နိုင်ပါတယ်။

Performance အနေနဲ့လည်း AWS backbone optimized routing ကိုအသုံးပြုတာကြောင့် latency နည်း, throughput များ, inter-region traffic အတွင်းမှာ encryption အလိုအလျောက်ပါလာပါတယ်။

TGW တွင် multiple route tables ထားနိုင်တာကြောင့် network segmentation, isolated routes, shared services VPC pattern စတာတွေကိုလည်း architect လုပ်ရတာ အလွန်လွယ်ကူလာပါတယ်။

Tips

အကျဉ်းချုပ်ပြောရင် TGW က multi-VPC, multi-account, multi-region, hybridcloud workloads တွေအတွက် network infrastructure ကို clean, scalable, secure design အဖြစ် သုံလို့ရတဲ့ AWS service တစ်ခုပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
